2010 Safety Program

We are committed to preventing occupational illness and injury and to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our people and for the communities in which we operate.

To assist us in meeting this safety goal, all salaried employees are required to complete assigned safety training by year end.

Safety Learning Paths

  • All salaried employees are assigned a Safety Learning Path in The Learning Center.
  • The Safety Learning Path outlines the specific courses required for compliance. This does not include your SafeStart Requirement. Please contact your local SH&E coordinator for further information.
  • This Learning Path is prominently displayed on each person's Learning Center Home page.
  • Click on the Learning Path text link to view the requirements and available courses.

Course Completion - Keys to Success

  • View the 4 minute Safety eLearning Program Breeze Presentation to review best practices for successful 2010 safety training.
  • Many courses are available in Spanish and/or French.
  • Your course completions and learning paths are instantly tracked and updated, but the course does not track each section as you complete it, so as you progress through the training, you'll need to recall where you left off.
  • Always click the word "Exit" when you are ready to exit the course or your scores will not be recorded.
  • After clicking "Exit", click the Home button to return to The Learning Center or the close [X] button if you are done with training for the day.
  • Course completions are updated instantly in The Learning Center. If you don't see your completion immediately upon returning to The Learning Center you may just need to refresh the page, click on the Refresh button located on your browser tool bar.

Reports

  • Managers may monitor individual compliance by looking at their direct and/or indirect reports via the Manager's Tab in The Learning Center.
  • 2010 Compliance Reports are also available that summarize compliance by senior leader hierarchy or show individual compliance. These reports do not include SafeStart requirements.

Curriculum Assignments

  • Salaried employee curriculum assignments are outlined in the table below.
  • If you believe that you have an incorrect assignment, changes happen as follows:
    • Contact your local SH&E representative and explain the improper curriculum assignment. See link below for contact information on your local SH&E representative or contact Peggy Spurlock if you are unsure of your local SH&E representative.
    • If your request is validated, they will send the requested change to The Learning Center and you should see updated assignments within 24 hours.
